This Super Ford Collector Series is on: "The Griffith 200". This 8 1/2" X 11" print is in black and blue on a real nice fine finish white paper. (These particular collector series sheets may exhibit a slight discoloration around the very edges).
The Griffith 200 is one of the most controversial automobiles in history
The TVR was a sassy little import built by TVR Cars LTD of England. It was powered by an MG-A engine, and it made for a nice all around little sportscar.
As the story goes, back in 1963, Jack Griffith owner of two Ford dealerships in Long Island, New York, and Dick Monnich East Coast Importer for TVR Cars of England, hatched out a plan to put Ford 289 V8s in the sporty little TVR cars.
Work began immediately and a prototype was completed
This article tells of the deal Jack made with Ford MOTOR COMPANY and the deal Dick made with TVR for the cars.
It continues to touch on the performance, the options, and the production numbers.
