These are the newer Gen 2 Packs made after 2017. The older Gen 1 Packs are 5.2 kWh which are widely available on . Meaning the production date and life are far better than most other modules you'll find. These are the perfect replacement to Gen 1 Modules which are now starting to fail. Beware of Gen 1 modules as they are aging out at 10 to 12 years of age and failing.
You can easily tell which ones which by the side rails. The 5.2 kWh Gen 1 Packs have metal side mounting rails, while the 5.3 kWh Gen 2 Packs have plastic side mounting rails. They are backward compatible and will fit 2012 to 2020 Tesla Model S and X with proper knowledge.

BMS
We recommend using the all new Vero BMS designed specifically to be Tesla plug and play friendly for battery management. No longer are you required to spend hours making your own wiring harness like with all other options. A single Vero BMS can control up to 64 Tesla Battery Modules at one time, therefore enabling you to easily expand your power within minutes. We are able to get our customers a discount on Vero BMS units with purchase of battery modules.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Based around 444 Tesla 18650 cells running in 74p6s configuration. Each module runs at 22.8V nominal and charge to 25.2V max. They can do 225 amps continuous output and up to 1500 amps max for 3 seconds.

Total energy storage is 5.3 kWh. These packs are ideal for 24V, 48V, 72V, 96V, 120V, 144V, and 400V EV systems. These modules also work for home energy storage and RV applications.
