Here is your chance to get a brand new 1947-1953 1st seriesChevrolet/GMC Pickup completechassis. This chassis will fit any47-53 first seriesChev/GMC 1/2 ton pickup or panel.The chassis is built from brand newrails making it much stronger than a reworked stock frame. All body mounts and running board holes are threaded for the proper size fastenersandare in the factory locationsThat means that whatever body you are installing the proper mounting holes are present.Engine mounts are installed for small block engines. Big block and LS mounts available at extra cost. The transmission cross-member is installed in the proper position for any GM transmission. It hasa 116" wheelbase. Overall length is 173". Width is 49 5/16" at body mounts. Hub to hub width is 60" front and rear or you can specify rear end width. Total weight is 800#. It is shipped by freight truck on 2 large pallets.
The front suspension is TCI'sproven New Generation Mustang IIIFS. Thefront suspension features: Heavy duty cross-member, 1" upper and lower tubular A-arms with new heavy duty ball joints and bushings installed, It includes a new manual rack & pinion steering gear. Power steering is available at extra cost. It has your choice of stock or 2" dropped spindles, tie rods ends and a `1" diameter sway bar.For a great ride itfeatures heavy duty gas charged shocks with black powder coated coil springs. The spindle/brake assemblies are assembled with the bearings packed with hi-temp grease and brake calipers and pads installed. It has 11" rotors with GM metric cast iron big bore calipers for great stopping power.
Running board brackets are included for a perfect fit of your cab and running boards. It fitsboth stepside or fleetside short boxes.
The rear suspension has a brand new Currie 9" housing and now with new31 spline alloy axles at no extra chargewith your choice of gear ratio in theopen differential. It features 11" drum brakeson the rear. It has a heavy duty leaf spring rear suspension withgas charged shocks for a great ride. Photo shows it with optional 4-link rear suspension. It has a pedal assembly witha free upgrade to a 8" dual diaphragm power brake booster with a Corvette master cylinder. Steelbrake lines are plumbed with brass inverted flarefittingsand mounted with billet line clamps. An adjustable Wilwood proportioning valveandWilwood residual check valves are installed for proper brake balance. Included are front and rear stainless steel brake hoses. It even includes chrome brake pedal pad, a quart of silicon brake fluid and 3 quarts of rear-end lube.
The chassis shown has been painted for illustration purposes. The actual chassis is bare steel so you can paint or powder coat it your desired color. Several options are available. Delivery is about 6-8 weeks plus transit time. These units must be shipped by truck.. Freight isusually $1000-1800 depending upon how far you arefrom TCI's factory in Ontario, California. Itis best that it beshipped to a business or your nearest freight terminal forlowest shipping cost or it can be shipped to your house or shop. Please call for exact shippingquote. It can be picked up at the TCI factory to save the freight but you will have to pay California sales tax. For payment I will accept Paypal. You may also call my shop and pay with a credit card or make arrangements for alternate payment method.
