2016 Beijing Preview: The 2017 Lexus IS gets the facelift we’ve been promised w/ video

Not too long ago, Lexus revealed a teaser of a headlight and front-profile, which led all of us automotive journalists to basically jump to the conclusion that a facelift is due for the IS sedan.

Low and behold, our expectations were recently met as Lexus has revealed the slightly-updated 2017 IS sedan.

As we were anticipating, the exterior and interior get a whole bunch of subtle mods for the mid-cycle refresh.

Such changes include reworked front and rear lower fascias with the rear incorporating redesigned rectangular exhaust tips, slightly new head designs with more pronounced L-shaped LED daytime running lights and more.

And…that’s pretty much it. All of the powertrains for the Lexus IS are carryover items, with the IS200t receiving the company’s latest and all-new 2.0L turbocharged four, the IS300 with its 2.5L naturally-aspirated V6, and the top-spec IS350 with the 3.5L V6.

Sales will begin in Beijing almost immediately while the US-version should be due later this year for the 2017 MY.
