Ferrari revives super-rare fire-damaged 225E with video

Classic Ferraris in the automobile world are more precious than diamonds, so it was a bit of a relief when Ferrari announced to have finished restoring an extremely rare 225E that was once a victim of a tragic fire.

Besides its miraculous story of being revived, this specific 225E, chassis number 0178, went to its first owner, Count Antonio Sterzi, who took the car racing at the Mille Miglia. The car later went to the Coppa della Toscana and Monza, to name a few extra iconic races it participated in.

It was then subjected to a big fire, causing significant damage to the car. Now however, Ferrari commissioned specialists, Ferrari Classiche to rebuild the car from the ground up.

Interior designs were also nowhere to be found for the car, so Ferrari worked with Maranello to reference models of similar time period to work out and interpret how the interior of this 225E actually was.
