Audi A3 TDI owners will be eligible for the same Goodwill Package as Volkswagen TDI drivers

Audi officially announced to offering a similar Goodwill Package to all A3 TDI owners affected by Volkswagen AG’s Dieselgate scandal as Volkswaten TDI drivers, as a preliminary step to regain the trust of their customers and simply say, they’re sorry.

Like Volkswagen TDI owners, the A3 TDI customers will receive a $500 prepaid Visa gift card, an additional $500 gift card to spend at your local Audi dealer, and three years of 24-hour roadside assistance, free, just to get things started in terms of compensating those affected.

Though as with the Volkswagen TDI package, Audi A3 TDI owners will have to go through a few verification steps just to authenticate that the owners affected are indeed owners that qualify for this package.

Should you be one of these individuals, you’ll be needing to register your vehicle’s VIN number on Audi’s bespoke website for the matter to be approved for the package. They’ll then send you a packet of information within a month to provide instructions on how to redeem all the contents of said Goodwill Package. You’ll also need to do this before April 30, 2016.

On a separate note, the EPA is still currently investigating around 85,000 Volkswagen Group models powered by the brand’s 3.0L TDI V6, which was also found to have the emissions cheat software and all models powered by the engine, including the 2016 Audi A6, A7, A8, and Q5 TDI, are no longer being offered for sale for the time being.
