First Drive: Behind the wheel of the 2016 Toyota RAV4

The Toyota RAV4 may not exactly be the enthusiast’s choice for a compact crossover SUV–let’s face it, what crossover really is meant for the driving enthusiast?

Either way, that doesn’t hide the fact that it remains to be a popular seller while even being one of Toyota’s most common selling models. So they must be doing something right.

The current fourth generation Toyota RAV4 has been with us since 2013 and is available in a multitude of trim levels with varying levels of equipment and options. Recently though, our colleagues at AutoNationDrive.com recently got their hands on the most expensive and lavishly equipped RAV4 money can buy. And expensive it is as the RAV4, fully loaded, priced out to hover around $34,000, which is a lot…for a RAV4.

Is it worth all that money to pony up for Toyota’s equivalent to the Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Escape, and so-on?

Head on over to AutoNationDrive.com to find out.
