Report: Volkswagen’s Dieselgate is causing such a ruckus, they’re even planning a movie about it

Extra! Extra! Read all about this! Volkswagen’s Dieselgate is causing such a media stir, Reuters reports Paramount Pictures and actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way Productions, acquired the rights to an up and coming book based on the scandal.

You can’t make this shit up…

But consider this one door of opportunity at the demise of another, as New York Times journalist, Jack Ewing, is the author of the new book, which focuses on how Volkswagen’s “more, better, faster” corporate philosophy led them to commit one of the biggest infractions in nearly all of automotive history.

Given however how Dieselgate is still far from being completed in terms of the investigative front, the book is probably a far ways away from being published and as a result, the movie won’t be out for a long time either.

Why doesn’t anyone make a movie out of all the pitfalls of the American automobile industry, especially during and after the 1973 Oil Crisis?
