The Subaru WRX S4 SporVita is a gussied-up luxo-WRX we wish we got

The Japanese Domestic Market is still one of those markets full of cars we wish we were special enough to get and one of those cars is the latest Subaru WRX S4 SporVita, revealed in Japan ahead of its spot at the Tokyo Motor Show.

So what is it exactly? It’s a Subaru WRX S4 with a whole bunch of added luxuries and amenities that we’ll most likely never see in our versions of the WRX. The additions include high-end leather upholstery provided by renowned Italian leather maker, Mario Levi.

It comes complete with a two-tone color theme, while the dash and instrument panel also get some unique color combinations to exude a more premium feel and ambiance. And the leather isn’t just left to be found on the seats as it’s been upholstered to the door panels, the steering wheel, and the gear shifter.

The WRX S4 SporVita also comes with high-performance tires, Subaru’s Advanced Safety Package, and other types of kit.

Power’s still supplied by the same 2.0L turbocharged four-banger with around 295hp and 295 lb-ft of twist, but it’s mated only to Subaru’s CVT Lineartronic automatic with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. So it’s not all that sad that we don’t get it here, but the interior upgrades would be nice.

Expect to show up at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 28.
