Video: Nissan teases its new concept again, called the Gripz

Get a grip, Nissan says, or Gripz, as it calls its new concept due for a reveal at the 2015 IAA next week.

The Japanese automaker released its first teaser not too long ago and recently, they launched another one, further revealing the car just a tad bit more.

Rumored to be an indicator for what to visually expect for the next Nissan Z, the new Nissan Gripz Concept is actually a crossover, and some far-fetched rumors suggested the new Z could morph into a crossover itself. Though we think the more likely speculation is that the Nissan Z lineup could grow to feature a crossover spin-off, similar to what Audi’s doing with the TT lineup.

Either way, the Nissan Gripz is said to preview a wide variety of models in the near future with its design language.

Designed to build on Nissan’s pioneering Crossover leadership, Nissan’s Gripz Concept will make its global premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Inspiration for the Nissan Gripz Concept came from the legendary 240Z desert racers as well as the sleek two-wheel world of road cycling. The design explores a new sporty direction for a Crossover concept and was conceived to create an innovative new driving sensation.
