It seems Honda recently had a little bit of a slip as some users on the CivicX forum stumbled upon what appears to be the 10th generation 2016 Honda Civic sedan in the flesh, uncovered, unwrapped, and uncamouflaged.
The forum goer reports this example was spotted not too far from Automobile Magazine’s old facility and ultimately, we now have an idea as to what the new Civic sedan will look like–if you can even call it one now.
We say that because the new Civic sedan takes on a whole-new design, one that’s more of a fastback or four-door coupe, and we’re not complaining because this could possibly be the most attractive Civic sedan, ever.
It’s clearly modeled after the Civic Coupe Concept from the 2015 New York Auto Show earlier this year and in some angles in the pictures, even looks like a miniature Audi A7. Bravo Honda.
Not much else is known about the production model, but we can expect the latest and greatest line of Honda naturally-aspirated fours powering the new Civic, along with the usual Si model. There’s even speculation for the possibility of a Civic Type R sedan, and we can’t even imagine how good that will look, bodykit and all.
Stay tuned for Honda’s full reveal online.
