Report: Rowan Atkinson sells his twice-wrecked McLaren F1
Rowan Atkinson is known for many things–being Mr. Been, Johnny English, and just an overall great entertainer. He’s also a professed petrolhead and owns some serious cars, such as a McLaren F1, which he crashed twice.
Speaking of which, Atkinson got around to selling his F1, for a lofty £8 million, despite its crash record. That’s quite a bit more than the F1’s original selling price of £640,000.
London-based luxury dealer, Taylor & Crawley took care of the transaction.
Atkinson put 41,000 miles on his F1 during his ownership and was involved in two accidents, with the first involving him being rear-ended by a Rover Metro in 2009 and then later on, he lost control of the car and ended up in a ditch.
