Report: Jaguar-Land Rover to be planning a SV-badged lineup under SVR

Jaguar-Land Rover seeks to expand their lineup with another special series of cars, which are to be badged as SV models, as part of the brand’s Special Vehicle Operations division.

The SVO division is responsible for the SVR lineup for Land Rover and will also be responsible for making Jaguar’s R models. Now, the plan is to have a supplemental SV lineup to sit below the SVR line of SVO Land Rovers. Confused already? So are we..

Motoring.com reports the SV models will be similar to Mercedes-Benz’s AMG Sport models and BMW’s M Performance brand, or models that are themed after, but aren’t the full-monty performance models.

That means these SV models will most likely come with sport tuned everything, from the suspension, brakes, steering, chassis, and the exterior and interior appearance. However, they just won’t be as entirely as aggressive as the full-fledged SVR Land Rovers.

Ok, that part makes sense.
