Report: Mitsubishi’s prepping to replace the Outlander Sport outright next year

For a split second, it almost appeared that Mitsubishi was going to be done for, at least as a competitive automaker in the US, given their lackluster performance both in sales and in their attempts to remain relevant, especially after killing the Evo.

But now, Mitsubishi’s seeking to grab a piece of the cash cow that we all know is the crossover pie by replacing the aging Outlander Sport, outright.

According to AutoExpress, who spoke with Mitsubishi Motors UK Managing Director, Lance Bradley, the new Outlander Sport will be launched next year.

Not much is known, but Mitsu should be sticking to their plans of hybridizing their lineup, as indicated by the influx of their last few concepts from years past.
