Report: The Maserati Levante to be revealed at Detroit next year

It seems like Maserati’s highly-anticipated Levante crossover was lost and forgotten, but really, it’s just been a while since we last heard about it. That’s because it’s in the midst of being developed and researched, at least, until it gets revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show next year.

According to Autovisie, that’s when the Levante will be unveiled after being previewed by the Kubang Concept from a couple years back.

Destined to complete directly against the Porsche Cayenne and thus, competitors like the BMW X5, the Levante is expected to utilize the same selection V6 engines lifted from the Quattroporte and Ghibli. For the Levante, they should put out around 350hp and 425hp while a V8 should be available with 560hp.

Some diesels should be offered, but we won’t expect those to come stateside, with the exception of one or two version, given we do get a Cayenne diesel here.
