Report: Cadillac wants to do a more extreme ATS-V
Cadillac’s pretty serious about taking down their German rivals. The ATS-V is a thorough example of this, as an attempt to dethrone the venerable BMW M3/M4.
However, if you are familiar with BMW, you’d know that it’s not just the sedan and coupe that exist in the world of the M3 as there are plenty of more hardcore editions such as the E46 M3 CSL and the E92 M3 GTS.

Taking that into consideration, word is Cadillac might be interested in following suit with the ATS-V by making a more hardcore variant to the already preexisting version.
“We might have something down the road that is a little bit more aggressive,” said chief engineer, Dave Leone, to CARandDRIVER in a recent interview.
Not much else is known, but the market is rich for such variants, as shown by the existence of the Mercedes-AMG Black Series, and the newly-established Jaguar SVO division and their new R models.
