Report + Poll: The Volkswagen Golf R400 gets approved for production…again
CAR sat down with Volkswagen’s powertrain head, Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser at the 2015 New York Auto Show not too long ago, who confirmed once again to the outlet that the Volkswagen Golf R400 will be made. It’s even coming to the US.

CARandDRIVER heard very shortly after the last Golf R400 Concept’s debut that the model was approved for production, catching us by surprise. So to hear this once again, isn’t exactly news. Neusser however did provide the update that the Golf R400 is currently being developed.
It was hinted to be revealed in full-production form at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year. Expect it to be the fastest, most powerful, and most exclusive Golf ever.
