Report: Cadillac could produce a competitor to the CLA45 and more V models
Cadillac seems to be wanting to chase down Mercedes-Benz with the idea of sending all of its models through its high-performance branch for some work.
As with Mercedes, who likes to AMG-ify everything, Cadillac is rumored to have a desire to expand upon its V Series. So this could mean models beyond the CTS-V and ATS-V, according to The Detroit Bureau.
The outlet spoke with Cadillac’s chief engineer, David Leone, who said the company has even thought of a CT6-V. Further bolstering this is the fact that AutoBlog heard that news bit as well from GM’s Mark Reuss.
But further more, rumors of a possible Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG competitor from Cadillac also surfaced from this interview. This could also suggest that there’s even an entry-level front-wheel drive Cadillac in the works to compete with the CLA, Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series overall.
