Report: Mercedes-AMG’s boss still says no to hypercar

Motoring got a chance to chat recently with Mercedes-AMG’s boss, Tobias Moers, who once again confirmed that Mercedes-AMG still has no plans for a “hypercar” or a supercar anytime soon.

“Maybe in the future, yes, but not in the next five, six, eight years.”

As usual, the car would need to be presented with a solid business case in order to muster up the resources to build something to compete with Ferrari. In other words, there has to be a market for such a car.

This same word also speaks for an SLS AMG successor, where he said that one is still quite a ways away.
