Report: Aston Martin has some big plans, involves DBX crossover and Lagonda sedan

Aston Martin has some big plans and it involves reworking their aging lineup, which is in dire need of some attention.

Though speaking with CARandDRIVER at the New York Auto Show, Aston Martin’s CEO, Andy Palmer, said that their plan includes some new models such as a replacement for the four-door Rapide as well as a new sedan.

The new sedan will be called the Lagonda, while the second model is a new crossover based on the DBX concept.

As of now, Aston’s plan is to revamp its entire sports car range first, with the DBX coming in at a second priority, and the sedan being third on the list.

But don’t for a second think that we’re getting the recent Lagonda Taraf on our shores, because the car isn’t federalized for our crash standards and the Lagonda Taraf is on a short production run, despite expanding sales. The next-gen Lagonda however is more likely to come stateside.
