Report: Audi’s new Q6 e-tron due in 2018 with 500hp
Audi is working overtime to launch some new models, one of which is this new highly-anticipated Q6 e-tron all-electric crossover, designed specifically to combat the new Tesla Motors Model X.
The new all-electric Q6 is expected to don a serious EV powertrain. The base model should be offering 300hp and the mid-level model serving up 400hp. Both should be able to return up to 200 miles on a full charge.
Rumors are even floating around about a more powerful RS version of said Q6 as a way to top off the line, with more than 500hp on tap. Though we suspect it will be a while before this one comes out.
The new Q6 should get its backbone from the Volkswagen’s MLB platform.
