Report: General Motors says an F150 Raptor competitor isn’t important right now

Edmunds sat down and spoke with GM’s Executive Vice President of Global Product Development, Mark Reuss, who said, a Ford F150 Raptor competitor isn’t high on the priority list of new models to accomplish.

Reuss noted that GM has a lot of “other” priorities at the moment, meaning there really isn’t any plan for one in the near future.

This is even despite the fact that Chevrolet introduced the Colorado ZR2 Concept, which pitched the idea at a high-performance off-road version of the new Colorado. If there was any inclination to its relation to the Silverado, we we’re hoping for a similar treatment to the new Silverado.

Are you hoping for a Chevrolet competitor for the Ford F150 Raptor?
