Photo Rendering: WCF’s team gives us what they think will be the next MazdaSpeed3

Rumors have been getting the hot-hatch lovers, especially the Mazda ones, all excited.

And that’s because those rumors suggest that Mazda’s indeed working on reviving their beloved MazdaSpeed lineup with the Mazda3. In Europe, it’s called the MPS line and was just as successful there as it was here.

Following Ford’s contract expiration with Mazda and the retirement of previous models like the MazdaSpeed3, MazdaSpeed6, and even models that predated those, the future looked bleak for Mazda’s high-performance line. But due to Mazda’s new-found success with their latest models, it seems they’re gathering the resources to once again make the MazdaSpeed3 happen, at least.

Hints point to an all-wheel drive setup to curtail the previous models’ issues with torque steer from lots of grunt being sent to the front wheels. Now, the new model should make more than 300hp to match the all-new Ford Focus RS. But not much else is known.

WorldCarFans though think they have an idea of what it’ll look like, in the slightest, so they had their team create their own digital rendering of the new MazdaSpeed3.

Either way, the curiosity is there and we can only hope the rumors are true. But better yet, there are even rumors of a MazdaSpeed version of the all-new Miata. Take our money now!
