Report: Production Infiniti Q60 to show up next year with two Mercedes motors

Motoring in Australia recently heard Infiniti’s Q60 will be sporting a choice of two Mercedes-Benz-sourced engines when it goes into production next year.

The Infiniti G37 Coupe successor seems to be moving more up market to compete more directly with the Germans and the recent Q60 Concept from the Detroit Auto Show last month shows where they’re going.

The concept itself had an unspecified 3.0L twin-turbo V6 and according to Motoring, that motor is going to be from Mercedes-Benz when it hits production with 333hp and 353 lb-ft to offer. There will be a more powerful option as well with a massive 4.7L twin-turbocharged V8, also from ze Germans. Sounds powerful, and rightfully so, at a supposed 408hp offering.

Other reports suggest the use of a 3.0L naturally-aspirated V6 along with a hybrid version of Nissan’s usual 3.5L V6.
