Nissan releases some photos of new 2016 Maxima following Super Bowl commercial tease

Recently, Nissan decided to play some shadow tactics by sneaking in the reveal of the all-new 2016 Maxima in their recent Super Bowl ad that debuted this past weekend.

Now, Nissan released some new official photos of the Maxima so we could get a closer look at the production model.

Details are still sparse, but the Maxima is scheduled to take a full bow at the 2015 New York Auto Show in the coming months.

The Maxima has always been touted as the “four-door sports car” and Nissan still says the Maxima will revive this notion. We’ll see about that since they fell quite a bit short recently over the past few generations.

Power should be supplied by a new 2.5L supercharged inline-four with an electric-motor, which could also mean the end of the Maxima’s use of Nissan’s traditional 3.5L V6.
