Report: The 2016 Lexus RX expected to be revealed in Detroit

Detroit’s making out to be a big auto show next year and Edmunds confirms previous rumors of the next-gen 2016 Lexus RX surfacing at the Cobo.

The RX, being Lexus’ current oldest model, is expected to get the usual complete redesign from the ground up. But now, word suggests a new full-fledged F model may be in the works to compete against the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG and the BMW X5 M. Don’t forget, there’s also a Jaguar crossover on the way.

Not much is known about the next RX, except for more rumors about an increase in size to accommodate a third row while the NX takes the role as the entry-level model, moving the RX more into the realm of being a mix between a full-size and midsize crossover.
