Photo Rendering: Imagine if Ford built a Fusion/Mondeo ST

Imagine if Ford gave the current Mondeo/Fusion the ST treatment for either shores–do you know what it might look like?

Graphic artist Theophilius Chin has an idea and recently created some photo manipulations to suggest what a potential high-performance Fusion or Mondeo could look like.

A rumor or two popped in the past about a possible Mondeo or Fusion ST. Ford of Europe has no problem making hot Fords as we obviously have seen with high-performance version of the Focus, which are just making our shores, and even high-performance versions of their Mondeo, like the ST220 from two generations ago.

That Mondeo ST220 came with a whopping 3.0L naturally-aspirated V6 with 220hp on tap and was a driver’s delight with plenty of visual and other performance tweaks.

Would you consider a modern Fusion ST? If Ford could muster up the resources to create a viable business plan and with enough demand, Ford could establish a new niche for the midsize sedan market.
