Maserati officially announces launch of Levante in late 2015

Maserati had to delay the arrival of its new Levante SUV as of recent as Fiat had to shift some resources around for other projects.

Now, it seems Maserati will be set to bring the Levante into this world in late 2015, being heavily influenced by the last Kubang concept.

Power should be supplied by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with 410bhp while a larger 3.8L twin-turbo V8 rated for 530bhp serves duty for the more powerful model. A 271bhp turbodiesel model is also expected for Europe. All should be mated to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic with all-wheel drive.

The Maserati Levante is being prepped for assembly at the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy.
