Report: Buick dealership taking orders for Grand National and GNX models
It appears rumors of Buick’s potential revival for the Regal Grand National and GNX nameplates might be true because GMAuthority heard a Buick dealership in South Charlotte, North Carolina is taking orders for Grand National and GNX models.
Rumors last year began surfacing about the potential revival for the Buick Grand National and GNX names, suggesting Buick could be picking up a new performance division to make the fastest Buicks ever made. The supposed new Grand National and GNX is said to be based on the same rear-wheel drive Alpha platform current serving duty for the Cadillac ATS and CTS, along with the same engine selections as well.
This is all rather interesting since Buick has yet to even leak the slightest hint that a high-performance model is on the way, other than the current Regal GS. We haven’t seen any test mules or any leak of mention. Could it all be a hoax and that dealer is just finding a way to gouge money out of buyers?
Either way, we reached out to Buick and we’ll update this post if we hear anything back.
