Report: Mercedes-Benz could be preparing 4×4 version of G63 AMG 6×6
Remember that bonkers Gelandewagen that Mercedes-AMG created with six wheels in a sort of end-all-be-all of frivolous off-roaders?
Well, it seems Mercedes-AMG was onto something as Australia’s media, CarAdvice, reports that Mercedes could be working on a 4×4 version in limited quantities as a more accessible version to the 6×6. The 6×6 is still up for sale in select markets with very limited production for special order.
Not much was disclosed, but CarAdvice recently spoke with Mercedes-AMG’s CEO, Tobias Moers, over the top at the LA Auto Show recently. Power is expected to be supplied by the same 5.5L twin-turbo V8.
