Report: A facelifted JDM Mazda CX-5 surfaces

A Japanese Domestic Market Mazda CX-5 was recently leaked with some new visual upgrades, equating to what’s probably a mid-cycle refresh.

The Mazda CX-5 has been with us since 2012 as a 2013 model so there should be no surprise that the CX-5 only appears to be undergoing some cosmetic changes.

Keep in mind, these changes are for the JDM model, which features a revised grille, restyled wheels and some new fog lights. There are also some new LED head- and taillights.

Don’t expect much variation from the 2.0L and 2.5L SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder gas engines, with the 2.0L producing 155hp and 150 lb-ft of torque while the 2.5L makes 184bhp and 185 lb-ft.

A refreshed CX-5 should surface at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show later this month.
