Report: A new BMW X5 M and X6 M to arrive at Los Angeles
BMW enthusiast site BimmerToday heard that the M-ified versions of the X5 and the X6 are due for a reveal at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, just before the turn into 2015.
Official word doesn’t quite exist just yet, though BMW has been rumored to be preparing two new world debuts at the Staples Center on November 18th–speculation just suggests the two debuts to be the X5 M and X6 M. Both the X5 and X6 were recently replaced by their second generation successors and the M versions have yet to surface–so these claims aren’t too unreasonable and far-fetched.
Specifications too are in the unknown, though it would be wise to bet on the BMW M5’s 4.4L TwinPower Turbo finding its way under the hood of both models with plenty of chassis, suspension, steering, and visual upgrades to separate the M models from the more plebeian basic models.
