Report: Lotus could be putting themselves back on the map with sedan and crossover

Rumor floats in from Malaysian media, who heard that Lotus could be prepping a new luxury sedan and crossover. Lotus is a big deal in Malaysia as they’re partnered with Proton, one of the very few automakers from the region. And recently, the corporation recently appointed former CEO of Peugeot, Jean-Marc Gales, following former leader, Dany Bahar.

Bahar originally had plans for a sedan and a crossover during his tenure, though his plans were put on the backburner following his severance for mismanaging the company.

Now, those plans are back on the table in an attempt to put Lotus back on the market as a competitive automaker. This wouldn’t be the first time Lotus is making a sedan as they’ve made the Carlton in the past and more recently, a concept was made in the form of the Lotus Eterne.
