Report: High-performance rear-wheel and convertible Lamborghini Huracans due soon

AutoCar in the UK recently sat down with Lamborghini’s chief, Stephan Winkelmann, to learn of impending and new variants of the new Gallardo-replacing Huracan.

According to the report, the usual Spyder and rear-wheel drive high-performance special variants are expected to follow in the same footsteps of the Gallardo. Confirmation came during this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance from two weekends ago.

“We need lots of derivatives,” Winkelmann said. “Customers expect it and we always need something new to talk about.”

Other than the expected, not much else is known as the formula is to remain the same for the Huracan as it did for the Gallardo.
