Report: A Subaru Tribeca successor still a possibility

Cars.com heard through the grapevine that Subaru is still working on a follow-up generation to the current Tribeco crossover, after speaking with the brand’s product communications director for American operations, Dominick Ifante.

“We are actively working on a next-generation three-row crossover,” Infante supposedly said. It’s still in the planning stage, but should all go well, the new Tribeca is expected to grow in size, but not by significant margins. Additionally, Subaru’s unsure as to how to place the model competitively–should it just be a “bigger Outback” or a sporty large crossover along the lines of the Mazda CX-9?

On a separate note under the same breath, Infante also supposedly confirmed of a Impreza update and facelift sometime later this year. Our guess would be at Los Angeles…
