Speaking with AutoCar of the UK, Lexus’s vice president for Europe operations confirmed that the production version is a-go. The Japanese luxury giant is rumored to revitalize the SC nameplate for this production LF-LC, utilizing a more modern version of the RC F’s 5.0L V8 good for around 480hp. The engine could be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission while a 500hp+ version is also said to be in the research and development phase.

Should all hold to be true, the new SC or production LF-LC will be built out of carbon fiber and aluminum for some serious performance.
