Report: The 2015 Hyundai Genesis slows automatically for speed cameras

Hyundai has an interesting trick up their sleeve with Korean domestic market 2015 Genesis models, according to a report from Australia’s Drive.

The 2015 Hyundai Genesis in its home market can apparently slow down automatically for speed cameras when using the navigation system and the car’s automatic braking system. Drivers get an audible warning about a half-mile before the camera and if drivers don’t take action, the Genesis will.

There are no plans to offer the system in the US, after AutoBlog spoke with Hyundai’s Jim Trainor, who also said that the system exists in South Korea because they perceive the system as a safety device.
