Word in the pipeline via AutoCar is that Jaguar is planning some new limited edition models following the establishment of their Special Vehicle Operations division. Recently, another report hinted that Jag is working on a lightweight high-performance version of the F-Type to better compete against the variants of the Porsche 911 as well.
After speaking with Harry Metcalfe, an SVO executive, word is that “projects 8, 9, and 10” are on the way, in reference to Jaguar’s recent F-Type Project 7. Only 250 of those will be available globally, if they haven’t been spoken for already.
Not much else is known, but both Jaguar and Land Rover will benefit from the new program since SVO works with both–also, Jaguar and Land Rover are technically one corporation.
