Report: The Audi A3 is doing so well, it’s stealing sales from Honda and Toyota
Edmunds reports that Audi is doing extremely well with the sales of its all-new A3 sedan. It’s doing so well in fact, that it’s stealing sales away from similarly priced Toyota and Honda models.
Audi of America recently announced that they sold a total of 2,452 A3s in June and a grand total of 7,735 since the beginning of 2014–impressive numbers by all means.

And while the A3 sedan might be a good little compact entry-level sedan for the brand (isn’t that what the Volkswagen Jetta is for…?), it still can’t hide the fact that it’ll most likely be bought by the wannabe knobs who want a quick and easy ticket into the premium sedan world.
Sales don’t seem to let up as the A3 sedan also won the title of the 2014 World Car of the Year while also receiving a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
To increase the sales of the A3 portfolio, the S3, A3 TDI, and A3 Cabriolet were just added and will begin hitting dealers later this summer while the compact Q3 crossover will follow in the fall.
