Nissan and Infiniti’s boss Andy Palmer confirms Infiniti QX30 and Q30
Nissan and Infiniti’s COO and chairman, Andy Palmer, recently confirmed on Twitter that the Infiniti Q30 compact sedan and the QX30 compact crossover will begin production next year in the UK.
The plan so far is to have Infiniti produce competitors to the BMW 1-Series and 2-Series, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class, CLA-Class, and GLA-Class, as well as Audi’s A1 and A3 compacts. Oh, let’s not forget Lexus’ CT200h as well.
Infiniti has been known to be working on a new compact for quite some time, even revealing a concept last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Johan de Nysschen just said that we’ll build our Q30 premium compact car and QX30 crossover in the UK (Sunderland) next year. I’m proud.
