Video: Check out Fiat’s new TV ad campaign…no it’s not from 4chan

Fiat is embarking on an entirely new TV ad campaign for its latest 500 models and after watching them, they may appear to have been lifted from the depths of the Internet, like 4chan or Reddit.

But truth be told, these are new and official commercials from the Italian automaker. The ads started off as a series of animated GIFs from The Richards Group, the agency in charge of Fiat’s Tumblr page. After Chrysler’s Chief Marketing Officer saw the pictures, he liked them and had them made into the TV ads that see below.

Should you not agree with the ads, Fiat-Chrysler also opened up the opportunity for others to come up with their own attempts at GIF-based ads for the Fiat 500. We could only imagine the hilarity that might ensue.
