Report: Lincoln considering an “affordable” flagship

Edmunds recently learned that Lincoln may be considering an affordable flagship.

After a press conference with Lincoln’s Global Director, Matt VanDyke, he mentioned the idea when explaining the perception of a flagship: it doesn’t have to be the largest or most expensive model these days.

He also said the brand is growing in favor of the Range Rover Evoque’s success and the idea of a product statement for their brand is something that really interests them.

VanDyke did decline specifics and said that Lincoln won’t more downrange in the market, as that’s what Ford is for.
