Report: Aston Martin Q division to produce Lagonda flagship sedan w/ 600hp

CAR Magazine of the UK recently learned some new details regarding a successor to the original Lagonda sedan.

The successor will revive the nameplate and will essentially be a modern rendition of the original Lagonda sedan from the 1980s. The new model will take the role as the brand’s new flagship and is likely to be limited in production to 100 units.

Power is expected to be provided by a 5.9L V12 good for around 600bhp with an eight-speed automatic, soon to be made available for the current Rapide and Vanquish. Its styling is even inspired by the original Lagonda and it will ride on an elongated version of Aston Martin’s VH platform that underpins the Rapide S.
