Report: Porsche Cayenne “Coupe” rumors are back in the mill

Porsche is reportedly working on a “coupe” version of the Porsche Cayenne–whatever that means. According to AutoExpress in the UK, the new Cayenne coupe is a stylized version of the Zuffenhausen automaker’s famous crossover SUV.

Ok, admittedly, we’re not entirely mystified by this concept as it makes sense as a competitor against the BMW X6 and the production variant to the Mercedes-Benz Concept Coupe SUV. Should the rumor hold to be true, the model could be ready by 2018. It will be based on the third generation model when the Cayenne gets completely designed and engineered.

The normal Cayenne on the other hand is preparing for a new facelift, which is expected to debut at the Paris Motor Show in October of this year with a sales launch destined in the first half of 2015.
