Report: Honda jumping on investigating its airbags supplied by Takata

Amid a new recall issued by Toyota involving faulty airbags supplied by Takata, Honda is apparently looking into the issue themselves as they receive the same equipment from the same manufacturer.

Sources within the company toldĀ AutomotiveNews that the situation is being investigated and studied, particularly with affected models. Honda suffered from a similar issue in April of 2013 where 1.14 million cars were recalled around the world, 561,000 of them in the US.

So far, six incidents were reported to the NHTSA in high humidity areas like Florida and Puerto Rico.
