How fast is the all-new BMW M4 around the Nurburgring? Quite…

How fast is BMW’s all-new M4 around the Nurburgring Nordschleife? After a test run completed by Sport Auto, the BMW M4 was able to complete the world’s most daunting closed racing circuit in just seven minutes and 52 seconds, which is a whole 13 seconds faster than the outgoing V8-powered E92 M3.

According to NurburgringLapTimes.com, that’s faster than a Ferrari F430, the last generation BMW M5, and is just as fast as a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and the Ford GT.

As a refresher, the M4 coupe is powered by BMW’s now ubiquitous 3.0L TwinPower Turbo inline-six, reworked by BMW M, to produce 425hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph time of just 4.1 seconds for a top run limited by a gentlemen’s agreement of 155mph. Buyers can lift that limit to 174 mph with the M Driver’s Package.
