Report: 2015 Hyundai Genesis to drop turbo four
Word in the pipeline is that Hyundai is seeking to ax the Genesis coupe’s base 2.0L turbocharged four for the 2015 model year after speaking with Hyundai’s spokesperson, Derek Joyce.
Joyce told AutomotiveNews of the plan and the idea was to have the 3.8L V6, good for 348hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, as the base motor as the company seeks to move the coupe more upmarket. The soon-to-be outgoing 2.0L turbo four was good for 274hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.
