Report: Ferrari to maintain exclusivity, new models every year, less of them too

Ferrari is also included in these major news bits from Chrysler and Fiat, with CEO Sergio Marchionne sharing some plans for the Prancing Horse, which involves new models.

According to the announcements, Ferrari will launch a new car every year between now and 2018. The models will have a production lifetime of only four years. The original models will be succeeded by special “M” versions, with an additional four-year life span.  Though no specific models were shared.

Total yearly production for Ferrari will also no exceed 7,000 units, though there is a prospect to increase it to 10,000 should the brand see fit.
