Following Fiat’s major announcements yesterday, the Ram and Fiat Professional brands were said to undergo a significant generational change for the 2015 model year.
Providing the information was Ram Trucks CEO and President, Reid Bigland, who said that they have new ambitious goals to “build the best pickup trucks and commercial vehicles in the industry.” This also involves equally ambitious sales goals by 2018–620,000 units to be exact.
These changes will consist of a range of updates for the Ram 1500 in 2015, then a brand new truck by 2017 (most likely to sport some aluminum work, following Ford’s F150).
Additionally, Ram’s commercial models will also get updated over time, especially the ProMaster, which will get the same 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 as the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel.
