Video: XCAR highlights why the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16v Cosworth is a legend

Ayrton Senna–a man who needs no explanation in the realm of the automobile and is highly regarded as a legend in countless ways. But before his climb into stardom, he had to start at the bottom, just like everyone else.

XCAR highlights this story, which focuses on Senna and how he cemented his career in Formula One. Mercedes-Benz at the time staged a special race at the Nurburgring’s Grand Prix circuit to celebrate the launch of the famous 190E 2.3-16v Cosworth for Group A Touring Car homologation requirements…which obviously led to the creation of the BMW M3.

At this race, Senna then found himself participating in the event alongside other Formula One champions–Jamed Hunt, Alain Prost, and Niki Lauda, to name a few. But above all, Senna was the one who took them all.
